High Speed Handpiece Maintenance

1. Surface cleaning

①Remove the needle and quick connector, The quick connector may be cleaned with alcohol and a cotton applicator. Do not use cold sterilants as they may damage O rings, and don’t disinfection and sterilization it will cause the generator in the connector to burn out.

② Clean surface with 75% alcohol. Never wash, spray, or immerse any handpiece in cold sterilant or chemical disinfectants. This may damage or corrode some metals.

The handpiece turbine should never be removed for cleaning.

2.  Clean spindle

Use the senda oil spray can to press 2-3 times into the spindle, and then press 2-3 times into the hole of  back cover, and then wipe it with a cloth.

3.  Internal cleaning

① Manual cleaning（Install spray nozzle on the handpiece, use the SENDA oil spray against the handpiece to press, until the liquid sprayed from the head becomes clean.)

② Machine cleaning (put in lubricating device machine, operate according to the manual.)

4.Blow out liquid inside

①After cleaning use the 3-way syringe to blow out excess liquid

②Run the handpiece with a bur in place for 20 seconds after lubrication to expel any excess lubricant.

5. Disinfection and sterilization 

Use sterile bag packing, and put the handpiece in Sterilizer for high temperature sterilization.

6.  Storage 

Store the handpiece in a dry place after sterilization.

7.  Handpiece Lubricating 

When the handpiece is sterilized, the bearing is very dry, and the bearing is easy to wear when used directly. Dropping two drops of lubricating oil can prolong the life of the handpiece.
