Precautions after removable denture
1. Pay attention to oral hygiene, brush your teeth after meals, and wash your dentures.
2. If the abutment is found to be loose or the mucosa under the base is red, the denture should be stopped.
3. Regular inspection after restoration of invisible dentures is extremely important. Patients should have regular oral inspections so that dentists can understand the condition of dentures and dentures for early treatment and restoration.
4. For the first two or three days after wearing the dentures, you may not wear them while eating, and put them on to practice eating after you get used to them. If you have symptoms such as compression and pain, you should see a doctor in time, and do not repair it by yourself. Dentures need to be worn in the mouth 2 to 3 hours before seeing a doctor, so that the doctor can find out the exact location and cause of the pain, and correct it accurately.
5. Sometimes it is difficult to put in or take out new dentures. At this time, do not forcefully push or bite with your teeth, and carefully explore the appropriate way to put them on.
6. Take off the denture after meals, wash it with toothpaste and clean water, and then put it on again.
7. Soak the dentures in cold boiled water or a cup of tap water before going to bed, and try not to wear dentures to sleep, otherwise it is easy to cause dental caries in the abutment teeth (the teeth next to the dentures).
8. Dentures should not be worn for a long time, otherwise they will be unusable due to deformation. After wearing the dentures for several years, if loosening or friction pain occurs, you should see a doctor in the prosthodontics department. Do not use them forcefully, so as not to damage the adjacent teeth or other oral tissues.
